The View

The View

It seems at times
the view
is no view at all,
the view
beyond the veil;
and yet,
what I would do to
pay two
dollars for a view
from that
Heavenly ‘binoc’—
a view
into the heavens.

    It’s like we’re a blind person looking at the sunrise claiming “eh…. what’s there to see?” We’ve never seen what there is to see… we have no idea what awaits us.

    • Very good, very good indeed. It can be tragic to have such beauty right there before you, and yet, be completely oblivious. I wrote this poem when God seemed distant…I felt I had no view at all. At times it’s a bit like that, and we need to recapture ‘the view’ again. You know?
